Description
The Fenner Nature Center sits on 134 acres in Lansing. It is open to the public and includes miles of trails and has an area dedicated to the Monarch Butterfly; The Monarch House. The Visitor Center is an indoor area where your little ones can enjoy hands-on activities, walk through the collections of live amphibians and reptiles, view local wildlife such as birds and deer. Nature Centers are my favorite places to visit when traveling! Long before I had children, I always made it a point to stop at them. Now… I have an excuse to play with the children’s hands-on activities! FNC is free. Trails are open year round everyday from dawn to dusk. Call ahead or check their website for the Visitor Center’s current hours.
