Covering 71,199 acres, this park has miles of sandy beaches along Lake Michigan, clear inland lakes, beautiful trails both paved and unpaved, lots of kid-friendly activities, and is an INCREDIBLE place to view the Night Sky. It is 25 miles from Traverse City so you can make a trip to the northwest part of the mitten and have plenty of options for lodging and kid-friendly activities!
