Lakenenland is an outdoor sculpture park with close to 100 sculptures from iron. I used to live 20 minutes from here. I loved this place! The last time we were here was in 2019 — just before children. We plan to take our children up to the UP next summer and this will be a definite stop on our list. The cool thing about this place is that you can go at your own pace… you drive through the entire park in `15 minutes, or you can stay for hours. There is a picnic area, fire pit, ponds for fishing, and a play area for little ones.

It is privately owned by Tom Lakenen. He creates all the art from his scrap iron. It is FREE to visit and it is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

If you find yourself near Munising or Marquette in the UP with your children, this is a MUST.
