Avoca Elementary School has a great playground for young kids. There are a couple playscapes, monkey bars, slides, swings, basketball court, and an open field great for playing games or flying kites! I can honestly say that the playground equipment here isn’t as fun as the equipment they used to have in the 90’s and early 2000’s, but it is a lot safer. They used to have two merry-go-rounds, very tall slides, a kickball diamond, and a cool monkey bar set. Unfortunately, those are all gone now. I would play here a lot as a child. Coming back to visit the area and letting my child play where I used to play was very heart-warming.
